To the Forest of Firefly Lights (2011) | Hotarubi no Mori e | Movie Review

Hotaru, a 6-year-old girl, comes to visit their home country every summer. She loves this place surrounded by forest. People say that ghosts roam in the forest here.

Hotaru longs to meet an incorporeal spirit. Similarly, when she came for a summer vacation, she suddenly got lost in the forest. The little girl could not find a way and covered her face on both knees and started crying. How will she get out of this jungle?

Suddenly, Hotaru hears a call. A boy (Gin) wearing a face mask stood looking at the front. After finding someone in the middle of a lonely forest and wants to run and jump, but the boy moves away. when she falls down and cries in pain, Gin says he is a supernatural spirit. If any human touches him he will vanish.

Gin then finds a way for Hotaru to return home. Hotaru leaves. But the question appears in her mind, is it really an incorporeal soul? Will she actually see Gin in the forest again the next day? Gin, who will never be touched? Who will keep this sudden friend for life or will he forget?

If you want to find the answers to all such questions, you have to watch this anime movie made from Japanese manga. With a rating of 8.9 on IMDB, one of the best things about this 45-minute movie is; Movie background music. Mine whole mind is touched.
